Mankind Cannot Redeem Themselves

You don’t have to look far to find hate, suffering and strife within a community, no matter where that community is. Some believe that humanity’s problem is educational, or environmental, or financial and the opinions go on and on. And, there are problems around us that education, different environmental conditions or financial resources could definitely solve. But, regardless of the amount of education, change in environmental surroundings or financial support given to individuals, if not given the knowledge and revelation of who God is and what God has done for humanity, all of these efforts will be a temporary fix for an eternal problem (Matt. 16:26). These means of help may change circumstances in this short life we live here on earth, and provide temporary comfort and happiness, but will never be able to address mankinds inherent needs. Unbeliever’s and Believers primary problem lies within (Rom. 3:10-18,23, 7:14-24). That is why mankind cannot redeem themselves. We do not possess any resource that can atone for our sins, or that can enable us to live free from sins dominance. Psalms 90:12 tells us that we need God to “teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”. Please allow God to help you come to a knowledge of The Truth before the end of your days on Earth.

Jeremiah 17:9 declares that “the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it”? Everyone of us, by nature is “bent” toward selfishness, pride, evil, sin and oppositon towards God (Rom. 8:7). We all have a corrupted nature referred to as “the sin nature”. Unbelievers and Believers do not naturally gravitate toward God, but instead away from Him (Rom. 3:11, 8:5-8). Who we are within, is what causes us to think, act and say the things we do. An individual can learn to change their routines and perform behavior modification, but this does not change who they are on the inside. They are the same person, with the same desires and thoughts, only choosing to behave another way in their outward behavior. This is not REDEMPTION! Jesus died not only to provide FORGIVENESS FOR SIN. He died to defeat the POWER OF SIN. The Bible is not THE GREATEST SELF-HELP BOOK of all time. Men and women, no matter their education, environmental surroundings, financial resources or religious preference, do not possess the power within themselves to transform who they are on the inside (Rom. 7:18-19). You don’t have to be a Christian to learn morals and try to live by those standards of morality everyday. Trying to practice morality is not what it means to live a Christian life! It is so much greater and different than that! A form of morality and encouragement to practice behavior modification is what religion and religious leaders can offer you. God did not institute any religion, He instituted REDEMPTION and RELATIONSHIP (Rom. 8:14). God offers A Way that anyone, no matter their education, environmental surroundings or financial resources can be redeemed from sin and powers of darkness. God’s Way is freedom from the power of sin and the Devil. No matter who you are, and what you have done, you can have that freedom today! The story of the Bible is the message of REDEMPTION for the human race. But before we begin to examine God’s plan of redemption, lets examine who the Devil is.
